Information you provide

When you create an account, we store your email address, optional display name, password hash, and account preferences. We also store saved stories, watchlist choices, newsletter preferences, and reports you submit. A newsletter signup stores its email address and selected topics.

How the site uses information

We use this information to run accounts, saved stories, market watchlists, email verification, password resets, newsletters, and issue review. Our server also receives ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site.

Your device and email

The web app stores your sign-in session and display theme in your browser's local storage. Newsletter messages include an unsubscribe link. You can also change newsletter preferences in your profile.
